OPTICS PROCESS TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor or Master of Science/ Engineering preferably majoring in Mechatronics or Mechanical or Photonics/Optical. • Minimum 5 years working experience in related job • Experience working in a fiber optic transceiver manufacturing environment will be an added advantage. • Good computer literacy especially in SPC related applications. • Must exhibit a strong sense of data analytical skills with hands on working attitude. • Adaptable and flexible to rapid changes to the business needs of the company. • Good knowledge of mechanical dimensioning & tolerancing analysis, poka-yoke principles will be an added advantage. RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible and involved specifically in 2x200G and 2x400G, 800G and above 800G products to cater for 5G market and beyond in wireless transceivers for a high bandwidth, high speed product applications in telecommunications, data centre networking markets and as well as cloud computing. • Involved specifically in 2x200 and 2x400 Lens 1 and Lens 2 optical alignment process, candidates who have handled 1436 and 2021 are preferred. • Responsible for the process yield and establish and implement corrective actions to improve yield. • Plan and execute process improvement projects in line with business metrics. • Responsible to define KPIV, conduct gage R&R studies, correlation studies & implement statistical process control for key processes. • Responsible for the process documentation (eg. Manufacturing instructions, visual aids, etc.). • To participate in new products transfer (NPI) programs to ensure smooth transitions from R&D manufacturing phase. • To effectively participate in new products transfer from the R&D phase to manufacturing. • To fully understand the necessary controls, equipment, precautions, setup parameters to meet the product specifications. • To establish the process capability and the productivity model. • To define the PCP and improve critical process capability (as defined in the process control plan, product drawings/ specification and BOM). • To participate in Lean Manufacturing projects and cost reduction projects.
