PHOTONICS DESIGN ENGINEER

RESPONSIBILITIES • Defining and developing applications for technical designs. Coordinating technical activities. • Responsible and involved specifically in 2x200G and 2x400G, 800G, 1.6T and above 1.6T products to cater for 5G market and beyond in wireless transceivers for a high bandwidth, high speed product applications in telecommunications, data centre networking markets and as well as cloud computing. • Applications in telecommunications, data centre networking markets and as well as cloud computing. • Taking the role of Hardware Design of communication product like Switch, Router, Access Server, SDH/SONET ADM etc. based on different solutions or platforms • Converting customer requirements into detailed technical specifications, driving design proposal preparation. • Evaluating chipsets, solutions, and reference designs based on cost, performance and time to market, including hardware and software aspects • Monitoring market developments, new features, devices, costs on a continuous basis • Developing detailed system architecture (block diagram, component selection, hardware/software interface) • Implement detail product design, support other design aspects like PCB, Mechanical, SW etc. • Estimating resource requirements for execution phase • Supporting the manufacture team for optimizing, debugging till product launch REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor in Mechanical / Mechatronic / Electrical & Electronics Engineering • Experience working in high mix and high volume manufacturing environment in semiconductor assembly processes will be an added advantage • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing a team of engineers & technicians • Ability to get into details, facts driven, data analytic • Adaptable and flexible to rapid changes to the business needs of the company • Good knowledge of optics / basic mechanical & electrical knowledge • Preferred Minimum 5 years relevant experience, preferable in optical equipment, router or ethernet switch. • Experience working in a fiber optic transceiver manufacturing environment will be an added advantage. • Driving teams for continuous improvement
