- Provide emergency medical care and nursing services to patients in transit to healthcare facilities via ambulance.
- Assess and monitor the patient’s condition during transportation, including vital signs, oxygen levels, and medical interventions.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and emergency treatments as required, based on medical protocols.
- Assist in managing critical and life-threatening emergencies (e.g., cardiac arrest, trauma, respiratory failure).
- Collaborate with paramedics, EMTs, and doctors to ensure optimal care and accurate patient handover upon arrival at the medical facility.
- Record and document patient information, treatments, and responses in a clear and concise manner.
- Provide comfort and reassurance to patients and their families during emergencies and transport.
- Ensure that the ambulance is fully stocked with necessary medical supplies, and that all equipment is in working condition.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to healthcare regulations and protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with emergency nursing practices.
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing, with relevant emergency nursing qualifications.
- Valid nursing license (e.g., from the Malaysian Nursing Board or equivalent).
- Experience in emergency care, pre-hospital care, or intensive care is highly preferred.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work in high-stress environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) is an advantage.
- Valid driving license and the ability to operate an ambulance (may vary depending on the role and jurisdiction).
