Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment used in oil and gas operations. This role involves working on complex projects and systems, ensuring they meet industry standards, safety regulations, and operational efficiency requirements. Job Responsibilities: • Develop and design mechanical systems and components, including piping systems for oil and gas applications. • Utilize CAD software to develop and modify design models and drawings. • Manage engineering projects from conceptual design through to execution and completion. • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met. • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment. • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules for mechanical equipment and systems. • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues in the field. • Ensure all mechanical systems and equipment adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental guidelines. • Develop and maintain safety procedures and documentation related to mechanical operations. • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to prevent accidents and ensure safe working conditions. • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, operation manuals, and maintenance records. • Generate regular reports on project progress, equipment performance, and maintenance activities. Job Requirements: • Candidate must possess Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. [Bachelor’s degree or additional qualifications in oil and gas engineering can be specified if needed.] • 1 year of experience in mechanical engineering within the oil and gas industry. • Fresh graduates are welcomed • Strong understanding of oil and gas equipment, processes, and industry standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO). • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. • Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental guidelines related to oil and gas operations. • Able to speak and write in both Bahasa Malaysia and English (able to speak and write in Mandarin will be an added advantage).
