Position summary:
We are currently looking for a highly competent Global Procurement Manager based in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) responsible for supporting the commercial and sourcing activity for the Electricity and Automation Category used by Nestlé worldwide.
Reporting directly to the Global Category Leader, you will be responsible for implementing the category strategy for primarily the Electricity category and also Automation spend in scope on a global level by using strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies.

A day in a life of a Global Procurement Manager for Electricity and Automation Equipment:
- Support the Global Category Manager in defining the category strategy.
- Execute key global sourcing projects to deliver expected cost reduction levels.
- Implement key Strategic Sourcing processes, tools and policies such as catalogue pricing, supplier management, standardization, aggregation, and best cost country sourcing.
- Negotiate contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the category strategy.
- Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities.
- Create a competitive environment for Nestlé’s needs.
- Introduce / develop new suppliers.
- Manage the relationship with market stakeholders to integrate the category strategy.
- Ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.
What makes you successful:
- Honours university degree in either an engineering or a scientific subject or in Procurement/Supply Chain with relevant technical experience.
- Solid and well established experience in a strategic sourcing role procuring Electricity and Automation Equipment in an international environment.
- Strong flexibility and the mental agility to work in a cross-functional environment in a highly-complex global organization.
- Demonstrate successful use of effective category sourcing, risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across a global network.
- Fluency in English, other languages will be an asset.
