Technical Delivery Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Technical Delivery Manager with a strong background in managing diverse IT infrastructures and operations. The ideal candidate will lead, mentor, and drive a high-performing team, ensuring operational excellence across hardware, systems administration, and networking.
Area of Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of IT professionals to achieve technical and organizational goals.
- Foster a collaborative environment that drives innovation and excellence.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support team members' professional development.
Technical Oversight & Operations:
- Oversee the administration, maintenance, and optimization of systems including:
- AS400 hardware and system administration.
- pSeries, AIX, UNIX
- Sun Solaris platforms.
- Mainframe operations.
- Windows-based systems.
- Provide guidance on network concepts, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Ensure all systems and applications operate effectively and securely.
• Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Align team objectives with organizational strategies to ensure seamless IT operations.
- Develop and execute plans for infrastructure improvements and upgrades.
- Analyze and mitigate risks related to IT operations and security.
Communication & Reporting:
- Act as the liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on team performance and technical progress.
Training & Development:
- Identify training opportunities to upskill team members on relevant technologies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and introduce innovative practices.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to company policies and IT governance standards.
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and implement security measures as required.
Resource & Roster Management:
- Develop and maintain effective rostering to ensure adequate coverage across shifts and peak times.
- Monitor and optimize Standby and off hours support.
- Address staffing needs and skill gaps proactively through hiring, training, or upskilling/cross-skilling.
Service Level Management:
- Monitor and enforce adherence to SLAs for operational performance and service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement to meet and exceed SLA targets.
- Address SLA breaches with root cause analysis and preventive action plans.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and team management.
- Hands-on expertise in one or more of the following:
- AS400 hardware and system administration.
- pSeries, AIX, UNIX
- Sun Solaris.
- Mainframe Systems.
- Good to have but not mandatory
- Windows systems administration.
- Networking fundamentals (e.g., LAN/WAN, TCP/IP).
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in monitoring and managing IT systems and operations tools.
- Plus, point for the following
- IBM Certifications like IBM i (C9010-022) & IBM i (C9060-528)
- ITIL Certification
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
Experience:
- Networking fundamentals (e.g., LAN/WAN, TCP/IP).: 3 years (Preferred)
- IBM i (C9010-022) & IBM i (C9060-528): 3 years (Preferred)
- ITIL Certification: 3 years (Preferred)
- AS400 hardware and system administration: 3 years (Required)
- pSeries, AIX, UNIX: 3 years (Required)
- Sun Solaris.: 3 years (Preferred)
- Mainframe Systems.: 3 years (Preferred)
- Windows systems administration.: 3 years (Preferred)
