Obtain a varied and rich experience in public health, including carrying out community health programmes, running advocacy campaigns, developing research in health policy, managing international-level health projects, and authoring health publications.
Responsibilities:
- Organise and implement nationwide cancer and non-communicable disease (NCD) intervention campaigns
- Carry out social research on current public health topics and develop publications, which include: books, reports, policy briefs, booklets, and press materials
- Develop grant proposals for international-level cancer and NCD programme
- Carry out international health intervention and advocacy/policy projects
- Mentor and train final year/early career allied healthcare professionals
- Represent the Society in local, regional, and international meetings on health
- Coordinate and support health screenings for marginalised communities across Malaysia
- Participate in advocacy and policy campaigns on NCDs, including galvanising people living with NCDs and coordinating such efforts
- Liaise with key stakeholders on health campaigns. This includes the Ministry of Health, corporates, policymakers, civil societies, and community leaders
- Review and verify cancer and NCD educational materials
- Develop training materials and guidebooks on public health topics, such as cancer screening procedures
Requirements:
· Bachelor or Master Degree in health sciences (public health is an advantage)
· Experience or interest in public health
· Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia with excellent written skills
· Strong communicator with good interpersonal skills who works well with a team and independently
· Work experience with healthcare or non-profit organisation will be an added advantage
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
