Job Summary
If you are not an engineer, cannot code, and are unable to motivate the organisation on the benefits of cloud, this role is not for you.
The role requires the individual to lead cloud migration squads to deliver workload migrations and deployments to cloud.
The role is pivotal to drive the workload migration and deployments on the cloud, working closely with CIO application teams to make the migration process easy and efficient.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
  • Design and develop comprehensive migration strategies for transitioning on-premise applications to Cloud.
  • Conduct detailed assessments of existing infrastructure, applications, and workloads to determine migration feasibility and required changes.
  • Be an interface with CIO application teams to deploy and migrate workloads to cloud.
  • Support the banks strategy to consolidate the data centre footprint and enable migrations to cloud
Business
  • Support the cloud migrations to generate value for the bank and drive the ROTE
  • Forge trusted partnerships with domain architects and CIO application teams to drive the migrations to cloud
  • Define migration timelines, budgets, and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Identify new and upcoming requirements to support workloads and work closely with platform engineering teams to enable the required capabilities
  • Implement automation for migration tasks using tools like AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate or third-party solutions.

Risk Management
  • Comply with organisation risk management framework
  • Partner with CIO application engineering teams to reduce risk and prevent manual solutions
  • Work closely with risk counterparts across technology, cyber and other areas for safe deployment of workloads to cloud
Governance
  • Ensure the value determination & realizations for workload migrations to cloud
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable SC governance frameworks
  • Adhere to and optimise cloud governance frameworks and processes
  • Stay aware of changing regulatory landscape so that we can proactively manage the emerging requirements for workloads
  • Ensure compliance with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements. This includes compliance with local banking laws and anti-money laundering regulations and guidelines

  • Responsibility for adherence to the Mandatory Conduct Requirements and demonstrating positive risk, control and Conduct behaviours as part of their role. Examples include:
  • Timely escalation and proactive management and mitigation of risks and issues.
  • Sharing lessons learnt with colleagues to prevent future errors.
  • Raising concerns and dealing with mistakes in a timely manner and encouraging others to speak up.
  • Cooperating fully with requests from regulators and Group Internal Audit.

Our Ideal Candidates Should Have:-
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or Bachelor Of Engineering in the Computer Science or equivalent
  • Candidates should have extensive knowledge in Cloud Architecture & Cloud Technologies

  • Candidates should have knowledge in Devops, Agile and API’s
