The Food and Beverage Bar Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the beverage bar, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of service. This includes managing the Point of Sale (POS) system, supervising the opening and closing of counters, accurate cash handling procedures, safeguarding daily sales in the safe deposit box for collection by the cashiering team, and managing inventory through daily stock checks and monthly stock inventory audits.
Job Functions:
Operational Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the beverage bar, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards.
- Supervise the opening and closing of counters, ensuring all necessary preparations are completed before service and proper procedures are followed at the end of the day.
- Ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained, including monitoring stock and assisting with restocking when necessary.
- Ensuring sufficient staffing for the day and planning for staff daily deployment and monthly duty roster management. Provide leadership and support, ensuring team productivity and excellent customer service.
- Supervise and guide bar staff in their roles, providing on-the-job training as needed.
- Monitor staff adherence to service protocols, hygiene standards, and workplace safety regulations.
Point of Sale (POS) Management
- Generate and review daily sales reports (e.g., Z reports) to ensure accuracy of transactions and reconciliation of cash and e-wallet payments.
Cash Handling and Security
- Supervise and verify all cash handling activities, including counting daily sales, reconciling with POS records, and separating float money for the next day.
- Ensure that all cash and related documents (e.g., bank-in slips) are properly stored in a sealed, tamper-evident bag and secured in the safe deposit box at the end of each shift.
- Maintain a Cash Handling Log, recording all transactions involving cash deposits, float preparation, and handovers.
- Enforce strict adherence to company cash-handling policies to prevent pilferage and discrepancies.
Inventory Management
- Conduct daily stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Perform monthly stock inventory audits, reconciling physical stock with POS records and documenting any variances.
- Work closely with the purchasing team to reorder inventory when stock levels fall below minimum thresholds.
- Monitor inventory wastage and implement measures to minimize loss through proper handling and storage practices.
Job Requirements:
- Priority will be given to candidates who possess a Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts (or equivalent) and have practical cooking expertise.
- Minimum qualification of SPM and above
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the similar capacity is required for this role.
- Understanding of HACCP and Food Safety.
- Proficient in operating and troubleshooting POS systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
- Able to work in shifts (based on their roster), on weekends and Public Holidays.
- May require working overtime based on scheduled and emergency call off support shift or any "Just In Case" situations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
