Technician

MSP Metrology (M) Sdn Bhd, a leader in precision measurement solutions, is seeking an experienced Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in calibration and maintenance of measurement instruments. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of metrology equipment, providing high-quality service to our clients in various industries.

Job Description

1. Perform calibration of a variety measuring instruments

2. To handle all technical support, troubleshoot problem, take corrective actions and complete repairs including testing of the machine according to time frame set by the management.

3. Conduct regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on metrology equipment to ensure optimal performance.

4. Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of metrology equipment for clients.

5. Prepare and maintain accurate calibration records, service reports, and compliance documentation as per ISO and other relevant standards.

6. Provide technical assistance and training to clients on the proper use and maintenance of measurement equipment.

7. Assist with the installation, setup, and commissioning of new metrology instruments at customer sites.

8. Work closely with engineers and other technicians to improve service processes and resolve technical issues.

9. Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing calibration and maintenance tasks.

10. To accept any additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by manager.

Job Requirement

1. Diploma or Certificate in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

2. Any additional certifications in metrology, calibration, or technical maintenance will be considered an advantage.

3. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments.

4. Familiarity with metrology equipment and relevant standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.) is essential.

5. Proficient in calibration procedures and practices for various measuring instruments.

6. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose technical issues effectively.

7. Knowledge of software applications related to measurement and calibration is an advantage.
