A US-based MNC is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their pioneering team at the Johor Bahru plant. You will play a key role in implementing and driving strategy to ensure excellent supply chain operations at the site.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to ensure seamless operations across procurement, planning, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Manage and oversee vendor selection, evaluation, and relationship management to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock management to meet production and delivery schedules while minimizing waste.
  • Lead supply chain planning activities, including demand forecasting, material requirements planning, and capacity planning.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations and requirements.
  • Support the application and renewal of the LMW license and ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, focusing on cost savings and risk mitigation.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, and finance, to align supply chain operations with business objectives.
  • Address and resolve foreseeable/unforeseen operational challenges, including delays, shortages, or quality issues, to maintain service excellence.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and teamwork within the organization and team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical or food manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of international trade and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
