History Teacher (KS3)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparing and delivering engaging history lessons to KS3 students, including creating and maintaining educational classroom displays.
Assessing student work, providing constructive feedback, and keeping accurate records of students’ progress and development.
Conducting research to stay updated on historical topics, maintaining subject knowledge, and developing innovative curriculum materials.
Utilizing a variety of teaching resources and technologies, such as podcasts, interactive whiteboards, and other multimedia tools, to enhance learning.
Taking on pastoral duties, such as serving as a form tutor, and offering academic and personal support to individual students.
Preparing students for qualifications and external assessments in history.
Organizing and participating in extracurricular activities, including field trips, historical reenactments, and other educational events.
Attending and contributing to departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school-wide training events.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have a Bachelor's Degree in related field of studies that you are teaching.
Must have teaching qualification such as certificate or post graduate diploma in education or teaching.
At least 3 years of teaching experience in secondary curriculum, especially in related subjects.
Experience in IGCSE syllabus and Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) would be an advantage but not mandatory.
Practical working experience in International School will be an added advantage.
Computer literate with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for teaching and able to work as a team.
