Tooling Engineer

Its customer base is well diversified and globally represented. We are now hiring for a Tooling Engineer, to be based in our Malaysia office (Synturn (M) Sdn Bhd). RESPONSIBILITY -Ensure all records on toolings utilization, inventory and other related report are updated and proper update of the QAD system -Work closely with production managers, engineers and other PIC to understand tooling requirements and constraints. -Assigning jobs to Toolmakers and ensuring that fully support on production needs in place to meet the Planner schedule. -Analyze existing tooling processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. -Participate and contribute in cost reduction and productivity programs -Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for tooling department and ensure the cost are accurately estimated and controlled -To ensure all purchased products conform to specify purchased requirements. -Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and regularly compare costs from different vendors to ensure competitive pricing. REQUIREMENT -Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent -Minimum 3 years experience in handling and incharge of Tooling department -Effectively negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms. -Strong project management skills to oversee tooling projects and ensure they stay within budget. -Good communication, leadership and people-management -Self-motivated, result-oriented and able to multi task under pressure and change -Able to work independently -5 days work
