Job Description
We are looking to add to our team of Employment Counsel to meet expanding business needs. You will report to a Legal Director and work alongside other Employment Counsel in the team to support our rapidly growing business internationally.
Job Description
1)Conducting employment compliance audit, preparing audit report and recommendations for the business, and overseeing implementation of those recommendations.
2)Support HR team on day-to-day international employment issues across Asia Pacific, Europe, United Kingdom, the Middle East, United States and Latin America (including labour disputes, employee investigations, separations, incentives and benefits, discrimination, pension, immigration, transfer of employment and other employment-related issues).
3) Assist as required on employment issues in M&As and restructuring projects.
4)Review agreements with vendors relating to employee benefits and payroll services.
5)Provide training to internal stakeholders on employment issues and legal updates.
6)Work with HR team to create and maintain policies, procedures, handbooks, and template employment contracts globally, and to ensure these are in line with local law requirements and company practices.
7)Supervise, manage and evaluate outside counsel on employment-related matters.
8)Partner with other team members on other employment or ad hoc projects.

Requirements
Key Job Requirements
1)Having good understanding of legal requirements and employment practices in jurisdictions where Ant International operates.
2)Legal qualification in a common law jurisdiction.
3)At least 5 years of post-qualification experience handling employment issues (both advisory and employment disputes). Prior in-house experience is preferred.
4)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; exceptional business judgment, with the ability to think strategically and give practical advice by balancing business needs with legal risks.
5)Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with, and gain the respect of, stakeholders at all levels.
6)Ability to work independently and to multi-task under pressure in an intense, fast-paced work environment.
7)Good team player.
8)Able to travel from time to time if necessary.
