JOB DESCRIPTION:

Routine / Daily on the Sales Floor

  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea beverages, and other menu items such as pastries and sandwiches.
  • Greet and engage customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, and ensure that their orders are accurately and efficiently processed.
  • Maintained a clean and organized work area, including the espresso machine, counters, and display cases.
  • To support retail store operation when necessary/ all the time need.
  • To assist in achieving daily and monthly sales budgets.
  • To monitor and check GOODS with an expiry date.
  • To do daily/weekly housekeeping.
  • To actively give feedback on fast and slow-moving stock.
  • To maintain the work area by adhering to the safety standards as required.
  • Prepare and stock ingredients and supplies needed for the day’s operations.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines for food preparation and handling.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.

Store Administration Cost Control

  • To healthily practice recycling and reducing wastage. (Packing materials, store supplies, copier printing papers)
  • Be tactful in handling fragile items to prevent unnecessary breakage that will lead to inevitable write off.

Cashier Handling

  • Assist the cashier at the Checkout point when required.
  • To be responsible for the reporting of the price error.
  • Operate cash register and accurately process customer payments.

Customer Service

  • Suggest and promote menu items to customers based on their preferences and needs.
  • To provide effective and efficient service to assist the customers in all aspects.
  • To gather feedback from customers and suggest improvements for the areas to the superior.

Received / Delivery Inventory Control Ordering

  • To ensure stock is sold first in, first out to avoid an increased food wastage.
  • To report on any discrepancy of stock holding against the system.
  • To secure all available supplies being displayed.
  • To provide daily/weekly/monthly stock checks and update the accurate figure in the system.

Others

  • Any other Ad-hoc assignments by superior

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A year of experience as a Barista.
  • Ability to operate and maintain espresso machines and other coffee brewing equipment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
