As a faculty member, he/she must achieve faculty workload requirements as stipulated in the Faculty Workload Policy, which covers: • teaching and supervision; • research and publication; and • service – academic leadership and professional development. The key expectations/details of the requirements are as follows: i. Achievement of a minimum workload of 2000 hours per annum. In line with the reputation of the University for teaching Quality and success, the faculty member will: • Lead and carry research projects as well as perform a variety of research activities which include sourcing, planning, organizing and conducting research studies within the overall of research scope. • Develop initiative, creativity and judgement in applying appropriate approaches to teaching and learning support. • Embrace new technological developments that support learning and teaching and incorporate ii. A minimum of three (3) courses (equivalent to 9 credit hours) per year. iii. Supervision of at least one (1) Action Based Learning (ABL) team per year. iv. Supervision of at least three (3) PhD Dissertation or equivalence per year. v. Publication of at least one (1) refereed journal articles for the year, of which must be at least in Tier 2 journals or its equivalent as classified in the workload policy. vi. Involvement in at least one (1) Executive Education programme as the subject matter expert OR in one (1) granted research as a principal researcher per year. vii. Involvement in an administrative post if deemed necessary by the Management. viii. To complete all current ongoing projects/works that are in your pipeline.
