Responsibilities 1. Implementing BIM. Process strong knowledge of Building Information Modeling, able to develop the BIM framework and lead the implementation of BIM prospective. 2. Creating 3D Model. Develop 3D Models using Tekla software based on design drawings and specifications, sketches, or verbal instructions. The 3D Model of the required structures must be accurate and complete with fundamental structural components, including all necessary parts. 3. Incorporating Design Intent. Ensure that design intent is effectively communicated and reflected in the drawings. Collaborate with Architects, Structural Engineers, and the fabricator engineering team to ensure all components are correctly presented as per the design drawing. 4. Production of Fabrication Shop Drawings. Analyze and understand the original design specifications and project requirements. Interpret and translate these requirements into detailed fabrication shop drawings. 5. Project Manage and Coordination. To manage all activities and ensure meeting the project schedule. Develop a project implementation plan for submission and update progress as required. Ensure all drawings are submitted on time with complete accuracy. 6. Applying Design Standards and Guidelines. Adhere to industry-specific design standards, regulations, and guidelines while creating drawings. This includes following relevant building codes, material standards, or engineering practices applicable to the design field. 7. Collaborating with Design Team. Work closely with engineers, architects, and construction team members to incorporate all necessary changes to reflect on-site conditions. Collaborate on design modifications, resolve design-related issues, and ensure alignment with project objectives. 8. Conducting Design Reviews. Participate in design reviews and meetings to present and discuss design drawings. Seek client feedback, incorporate necessary changes, and ensure the drawings meet the required standards and specifications. 9. Documenting Design Changes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of design changes, revisions, and versions. Track and document design modifications throughout the project lifecycle 10. Ensuring Design Compliance. Verify that design drawings comply with applicable regulations, standards, and safety requirements. Collaborate with quality control or regulatory compliance teams to address any non-compliance issues. 11. Supporting Project Coordination. Assist in coordinating design activities with other teams. Provide technical support and clarify design-related queries during the project execution phase. Skills: 1. Technical Skills. Strong knowledge of Tekla 3D modeling and detailing principles, practices, and standards. Ability to create detailed fabrication shop drawings. Familiarity with Steel design and detailing techniques, including dimensioning, tolerances, and material selection. Understanding of structural systems and components. 2. Design Skills. Proficiency in design software, such as Tekla or similar tools, for creating accurate and detailed design drawings. Understanding of design principles and the ability to incorporate design intent into drawings. Knowledge of building codes, regulations, or industry-specific guidelines relevant to the design field. 3. Knowledge of Materials and Construction Methods. Familiarity with Steel materials and Steel construction methods used in the relevant design field. Understanding of material properties and their application in design. 4. Attention to Detail and Accuracy. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in creating design drawings. Ability to interpret design specifications and accurately translate them into detailed drawings. Proficiency in performing quality checks and verifying the accuracy of drawings and models. 5. Communication and Collaboration. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with designers, engineers, architects, and other team members. Ability to understand and interpret design requirements and specifications. Capability to communicate design-related issues, recommendations, and potential improvements effectively. 6. Education and Experience: 1. Candidates must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant qualifications or certification in drafting or a related field. 2. Minimum 3 years of experience in Tekla Modeling for multistorey steel structure buildings in Japan construction environment. 3. Familiar with Japan Steelwork Detailing requirements and Japanese Architectural Standard Specification 6 (JASS 6). 4. Familiar with Japanese Welding Standard requirements. 5. Familiar with Seismic Design and Rigid Frame Connection Details. 6. MUST be able to speak and communicate in the Japanese language.
