Executive Accountant

Job description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Executive Accountant to lead our accounting team. As an Executive Accountant, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, and the development of internal control policies and procedures. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of accounting principles, strong leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to drive financial performance and support the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership:
Oversee the accounting department, providing leadership, training, and mentoring to junior accountants. Ensure the team meets all financial reporting deadlines and maintains high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Strategic Financial Planning:
Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Analyze financial performance, identifying trends and providing strategic recommendations to senior management.

Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that impact financial practices.

Audit Management:
Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Address auditor inquiries and implement any necessary improvements based on audit findings.

Financial Reporting:
Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reports. Present financial data and analysis to senior management and stakeholders.

Cash Flow Management:
Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations. Optimize working capital and advise on investment opportunities.

Internal Controls:
Develop and implement robust internal control systems to mitigate financial risks and ensure the integrity of financial information.

Tax Strategy and Planning:
Lead tax planning and compliance efforts, ensuring the company maximizes tax efficiency while adhering to legal requirements. Work closely with external tax advisors to develop and implement tax strategies.

Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as a key point of contact for financial matters, communicating with investors, auditors, and regulatory authorities. Provide clear and accurate financial information to support decision-making.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Executive Accountant, Senior Accountant, or in a similar senior financial role.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or relevant certification is preferred.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
