Job Description: Hostile Vehicle Mitigation Welder Key Responsibilities: o Perform precision welding to fabricate and assemble hostile vehicle mitigation structures such as bollards, barriers, gates, and roadblocks. o Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly. o Assist in the on-site installation of HVM systems, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening. o Perform site preparation, including cutting, drilling, and fitting components. o Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of existing HVM systems to ensure they remain functional and meet safety standards. o Adhering to SMAW, FCAW, GTAW, GMAW and other processes as required. o Perform repairs on damaged or malfunctioning systems using welding and metal fabrication skills. o Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, particularly in high-security or high-risk environments. o Ensure all welding equipment and tools are properly maintained and used safely. Qualifications and Skills: o Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication, preferably in a security or construction setting. o Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. o Familiarity with hostile vehicle mitigation systems and their applications will be advantage o Understanding of materials science, particularly with metals like steel and aluminium. o With welding certifications will be advantage. o Valid safety training certifications (e.g., OSHA, CSCS card, or equivalent). o Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. o Ability to work independently and as part of a team. o Problem-solving skills, especially under tight deadlines or in challenging conditions.
