JR71206 NPI Engineer - Module SSDAs a NPI Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will responsible for managing the successful introduction of NPI products into manufacturing. You'll coordinating with close function team as SME, Process and Equipment Engineers responsible for products starting up, developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability, working on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. This position will identify, diagnose and resolve process related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC methodology. Drive continues improvement to meet KPI.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating and carrying out process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process step, leading and participating in yield improvement and cycle time improvement, cost reduction activities, handling new process baseline qualifications and managing, auditing and liaising with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Working with multi-functional team, to execute transfer of pilot products and packages together with TD teams to the HVM site based on the New Product roadmap
- Participation in process and material optimization to drive best in class engineering solutions and ensure first pass NPI qualification.
- Manage NPI program timelines, milstones and one time pass NPI phase gate.
- Provide ideas for cost reduction and process simplification.
- Validate and document baseline the POR, TOR and BOM for the transferred products and packages.
- Support the qualification of products / packages that proliferate from the pilot products and packages.
- Support Customer samples and Engineering Samples build for new products and packages deliver on time.
- Carry out training for the engineering / HVM operations teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics, or related Engineering.
- Good communication skill and team working spirit
- Broad technical knowledge in problem solving analytical skill & lead an engineering team through innovative process implementation (FMEA, DOE, FDC/APC, DATA ANALYSIS). You should also have good analytical and problem solving skills and be highly motivated. You need a strong work ethic and the capability to work independently in teams. Strong communication and presentation skills are advantageous.
