TUNDISH ENGINEER

• Bricking ladles and furnaces as required by steel plant • Control the jib crane for material preparation • Recording consumed refractory material • Controlling refractory work supporting machines. (tundish gunning machine, cutting saw, vibra-spike, mixer, etc) • oversee PM schedule for heat treat equipment, update CQI-9 survey as needed, participate in TS-16949 and customer audits, keeping records to satisfy the CQI-9 standard, • review standards and apply where appropriate, provide PPAP data when needed. • Using forklift for material transportation • Setup furnace for rebinding and sintering operation • Perform preventive maintenance on all production furnaces • Daily monitoring of production furnaces • Perform and maintain furnaces calibration records • Communicate findings with respective process engineer • Lead and train operators • Scheduling calibrations of equipment, retaining quotes for furnace repairs, budget items to update heat treat process.. • Practice good housekeeping of process area • To carry out other tasks such as wiring, documentation and troubleshooting problems when required
