Senior Software Engineer

Role Summary Kinesso is currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Software Engineer to fill an immediate need. This individual will work with the technical team and customers to understand and analyze requirements to develop, support and optimizing data pipelines. The candidate will have experience designing and developing highly scalable backend solutions with a strong understanding of the API application operating environments. This role requires an individual who has a passion for technology and is looking to apply this to further their experience in real-world business scenarios. Key Responsibilities • Discuss technical solutions with the development team, communicate goals and facilitate execution. • Lead functional and technical design reviews as part of the development team. • Code and deliver the features requested by the Product Owner. • Own the product quality by following TDD, PR reviews and providing feedback to others. • Follow best practices for the software development life cycle • Manage tech debt and refactoring to continuously improve quality and performance Work directly with the Software Development team in bringing visual ideas and concepts to life. • Work directly with product owners to define and prioritize requirements and help in architecting solutions to their most critical needs incrementally. • Collaborate with third party vendors on development efforts, and take a project from concept to design, development, release, and maintenance. Requirements • Bachelor’s equivalent in Computer Science / Relevant degree in Engineering • 6 years TypeScript, Java/.NET, Springboot, Angular, Postgres/Mysql/SQL Server, JPA, Swagger • HTML wizardry, CSS expertise • Solid experience in OOP Design Concepts • Experience implementing service-oriented (SOA) architectures, RESTfull web services • Knowledgeable on building complex frontend application design • Production development experience with Amazon Web Services eg: API gateway, SQS, S3 and etc • Experience interacting with third party interfaces, example Google Ad words APIs.
