With a specific focus on advocacy intiatives. This position involves fostering communication with local stakeholders, inviting beneficiaries to participate in the center activities and supporting the Programme Coordinator in ensuring the effective delivery of programs and center management. He/She has to deal with other people from a wide variety of levels, from clients and stakeholders to management and even Executive Director. SPECIFIC KNOWLDEGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES • Skills in crafting advocacy strategies to address specific issues and objectives • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to articulate and communicate advocacy message clearly to diverse audience • Good knowledge of social media strategy • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, including community leaders, government officials, corporates and implementing partners • Ability to foster collaboration and build partnerships • Strong project management skills in conducting outreach and engagement activities to raise awareness and involve the community in advocacy initiatives • Strong organizational skills, problem-solving, negotiation, analytical and time management skills • Ability to connect with and mobilise community members • Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships with various individuals and organisations. Experience in working closely with Government and local community/implementer partners are an advantage • Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills in a fast-paced work environment • Ability to create, execute and manage high volume of projects/programs/activities under tight deadlines • Ability to prioritise tasks, take initiative, and independently manage competing demands • Attention to detail, driven self-starter with positive outlook. • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs • Demonstrated interest in NGO works and people living with HIV, and knowledge of HIV, global health/development sector RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Sarawak Health Access Programme (SHAPE) • Recruit and enroll new beneficiaries for SHAPE • Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports • Facilitate the disbursement of subsidy claims to beneficiaries in accordance with program and Finance guidelines • Present the work progress at least once a month to the Assistant Manager of Grant Management Department • Work closely with the Assistant Manager of Grant Management to achieve overall program goals and objectives Beneficiary Outreach 1. Proactively engage with potential beneficiaries to raise awareness of the center’s activities 2. Plan and execute outreach campaigns to invite beneficiaries to participate in center programs 3. Establish and maintain positive relationship with beneficiaries, ensuring their needs are considered in program planning Event Planning and Execution 4. Organise and coordinate events, workshops and awareness campaigns related to advocacy 5. Ensure the smooth execution of activities, from planning to post-event evaluation 6. Collaborate with team members and colleagues at HQ if requires, to integrate advocacy message into various activities 7. Draft and coordinate the production and dissemination of various programs including external reports, technical briefs, infographics, program updates, social media updates and success stories. Assistance to Programme Coordinator 8. Work closely with the Center Manager to achieve overall center goals and objectives 9. Provide support in administrative tasks, reporting and other responsibilities as needed 10. Collaborate with the team to maintain a positive and inclusive center environment 11. Create and maintain internal systems, including contact lists, diaries of upcoming events and advocacy opportunities. 12. To hunt for potential grants to support the MAF and branch. Others 13. To maintain the high confidentiality of the organisation and information 14. Able to travel outstation and work irregular hours, including overnight. 15. To carry out site visits to health facilities and other organisations when necessary. Perform any other duties as may be directed by Grant Management Department, the Management and the Executive Director of Malaysian AIDS Foundation to further the aims of MAF.
