We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food & Beverage Director to lead and oversee the operations of our food and beverage services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, fine dining, and a deep understanding of local customer preferences and market trends in Malaysia. This role demands a leader who can optimize revenue, enhance guest experiences, and ensure smooth, efficient operations across all food and beverage outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and inspire the food and beverage teams, including kitchen, service, and bar staff, ensuring a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance service quality, culinary skills, and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
  • Drive food and beverage sales through effective strategies, ensuring profitability while maintaining high service standards.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to design and implement promotions and events that resonate with the local customer base.
  • Regularly assess sales performance, identify growth opportunities, and take necessary actions to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure menu offerings are of the highest quality, diverse, and align with the brand’s standards.
  • Innovate and adapt offerings to meet changing market demands and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Continuously monitor guest feedback and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement in service quality and offerings.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of outstanding guest experiences by training staff to exceed expectations.
  • Develop strategies to enhance customer loyalty and drive repeat business.
  • Prepare and manage the department’s budget, ensuring adherence to financial targets and efficient cost control measures.
  • Oversee purchasing, inventory management, and vendor relations to maintain optimal cost control while delivering high-quality products.
  • Regularly review financial reports and make recommendations for cost-effective improvements and resource optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and hygiene regulations in all food and beverage operations.
  • Monitor and enforce operational standards across all outlets to maintain consistent quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and ensure the business adheres to relevant standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Director or in a similar senior leadership role, with a background in fine dining and sales management.
  • Strong understanding of the Malaysian food and beverage market, including local customer preferences and trends.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, financial management, and cost control in an F&B environment.
  • Ability to innovate, adapt, and respond to changing market conditions.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional food, service, and guest experiences.
  • Degree or diploma in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
