Position Overview

To ensure the quality of a product meets the requirements and expectations of the customers. This includes executing all activities planned and systematically applied within the quality management system and conducted in accordance with needs to provide adequate confidence that the company will meet the expected quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities /Accountabilities:

  • Is responsible for Incoming Quality Control (IQC) as the quality gate for the company's audit & repair team.
  • Ensuring standards are known with consistent awareness & education. Plan and conduct quality assurance awareness and training programs to ensure the company is kept abreast to changes in quality requirements.
  • Executes the overall competency of the Quality Assurance team in the areas of measurement, inspection or detection and defects prevention measures.
  • Executes capacity planning requirement, ensuring its optimum level at all the time.
  • Ensures a proper quality check of all orders going out to clients in terms of functionality, cosmetic and order completeness.
  • Ensures quality checks are carried out as required in accordance to Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) or applicable compliance (with the exception of Innovations or R&D).
  • Responsible for device sampling procedures and directions for R&D methods.
  • Documents internal audits and other quality assurance activities and reports this on a monthly basis.
  • Investigates customer complaints and non-conformance issues and reports it on a weekly basis.
  • Analyses data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
  • Develops, recommends and monitors corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develops reports to communicate the outcomes of quality activities.
  • Conducts ad hoc spot checks to ensure the technicians are following the SOP during audit, refurbishment & order processing.
  • Is responsible and accountable to ensure quality of products and raw material standards are observed by Warehouse & Logistic.
  • Records abnormalities and complaints during order/audit preparation including customer dissatisfaction complaints.
  • Investigates abnormalities and complaints including performing root cause analysis and recommending preventative measures.
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, RMA equipment and corrective actions.
  • Ensures appropriate processes are implemented and put in practice to fully satisfy customer needs and expectations.

Qualifications

  • Diploma / Bachelor Degree in IT / Computer Science / Engineering or Advanced Certificate in IT hardware related disciplines

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in working in a quality assurance role in a system builder or production/assembly line environment.
