Position Summary

The Programme Coordinator reports to Head of School. The Programme Coordinator is required to lead, manage and develop the programme to ensure it achieves the highest possible standards of excellence in all activities. The Programme Coordinator is required to exercise leadership, demonstrate vision, and empower others in order to deliver the agreed departmental strategy within the programme and the School. The position also takes responsibility for the Teaching and Learning portfolio within the School.

Key Result Area and Responsibility

· Foster and facilitate the development of outstanding academic programmes, industry and training in the relevant discipline.

· Lead and facilitate the management of the programme, consistent with the objectives of the School and College.

· Provide innovative and effective leadership in the programme and discipline.

· Contribute to academic and administrative leadership within the School and participate in the development of policy in the School and College.

· Liaise with industry to foster collaboration and industry opportunities, including funding for lecturer.

· Organising the Webinars, Seminars, Guest Lecture from the industry experts and Academic experts.

· Ensure compliance with the Programme Standard, and of the teaching, learning outcomes, and assessment of courses in the Programme.

· Ensure all teaching materials and updated and comply with the prescribed standards.

· Ensure that programme information is continuous updated ie. Brochures, printed materials, website, programme handbook, etc.

· Ensure and maintain student passing rate above 80%.

· Monitoring the student’s attendance above 80%.

· Monitoring the student’s academic progression and ensure students Graduate on Time.

· Introducing the new undergraduate and diploma programme.

· MQA document preparation and coordinate the MQA visit.

· Establish collaborative links with professional bodies for the promotion and development of the discipline.

· Develop collaborative linkages to industry.

· Organising the student industry visit.

· Strengthen links with relevant schools and departments within the College.

Key Selection Criteria

· Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline under Human Resources or relevant programme or has a master qualification with 5 years of academic and/or industrial leadership.

Other Job Related Information

· Demonstrate high levels of leadership, engagement, participation and commitment for programmes initiated by the School/College.

· Operate in a collegial manner, with openness and transparency.

· Work closely with other Schools/Departments in the institution, including multi-disciplinary education, and with campus support units, including effective representation on College committees.

· Comply with all government, corporate and college requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
