Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development to lead both client retention and new account acquisition efforts for our professional services division in Malaysia. Key Responsibilities: Account Management and Growth: • Take ownership of a portfolio of existing accounts, fostering relationships with key stakeholders to ensure client retention and satisfaction. • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts to maximize revenue potential. • Develop tailored account growth strategies, ensuring a consistent alignment with client needs and business goals. Business Development and Market Expansion: • Aggressively pursue new business opportunities across Malaysia, targeting high-growth industries and untapped markets. • Build and maintain a strong, sustainable sales pipeline through rigorous prospecting, strategic networking, and leveraging existing industry relationships. • Conduct detailed market analysis to anticipate trends, identify competitive advantages, and uncover emerging opportunities. • Design and implement bold, results-driven business plans to dominate market share and exceed revenue objectives. Client Relationship Management: • Build, deepen, and sustain trust-based relationships with senior executives, decision-makers, and influencers. • Act as a strategic advisor by understanding clients’ business challenges and providing customized, value-driven solutions. • Oversee the complete sales lifecycle, ensuring flawless execution from initial contact through deal closure and contract renewal. • Consistently deliver a superior client experience, driving repeat business and referrals. Collaboration and Solution Development: • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including operations, delivery, and marketing—to create customized solutions that align with client needs and objectives. • Ensure seamless handoffs to delivery teams, maintaining exceptional service standards and driving client satisfaction. • Contribute to marketing initiatives by providing actionable feedback to refine campaigns, case studies, and promotional materials. Market Insights and Reporting: • Analyze and present actionable insights on market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to inform decision-making and refine strategies. • Provide senior leadership with comprehensive, data-driven reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and growth opportunities. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA strongly preferred). • Experience: 5+ years of demonstrated success in business development or account management in professional services or IT sectors in Malaysia, with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas. • Market Expertise: Deep understanding of Malaysia’s business landscape, with a strong professional network across key industries. • Skills: o Exceptional ability to negotiate, influence, and close high-value deals. o Advanced strategic planning and execution skills, with measurable results in revenue growth. o Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics software. • Attributes: o Entrepreneurial mindset with relentless drive and self-motivation. o High resilience and ability to excel in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional language skills are a plus.
