We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of Senior Corporate and Structured Finance Manager.
Responsibilities
- Meet regularly with customers to assess financial needs, condition, and opportunities/risks facing the customer business, and work with team to ensure they follow the same approach
- Ensure portfolio pricing is generating appropriate return on Risk-Weighted Assetts (RWAs) both at a customer and portfolio level
- Work closely with the team to structure robust credit facilities for the transaction
- Ensure that robust credit structures are in place that are appropriate to the customer needs and in line with the Bank's risk appetite
- Help to lead and develop a team of Corporate Structured Banking (CSB) analysts to ensure delivery of the team’s financial plan, deliver best in class customer experience in line with the Corporate strategy
- Engage/support closely with the Relationship Management (RM) teams to identify complex deals
- Interact with Executive Management within Commercial Banking (CMB), across the country as well as interaction with Executives in other country Group offices globally
- Support achievement of the HSBC vision, Values, goals and culture in personal behaviour, actions and decision making
- Take personal responsibility for understanding and agreeing performance expectations, completing the necessary mandatory training and developing the levels of capability and competence needed to be effective in the role
- Contribute to team development, effectiveness and success by sharing knowledge and good practice, working collaboratively with others to create a productive, diverse and supportive working environment
- Adhere to HSBC policy, procedures and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working, exceptional and project activities, and raise any concerns about actual or potential issues promptly, in line with reporting and escalation procedures
- Continuously monitor, gather information from relevant sources to assess potential impacts and identify risks, necessary changes and business opportunities
- Apply policies, procedures, practices and standards to their allocated tasks, taking responsibility for their own actions, to ensure the achievement of high levels of quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance
- Minimum 8 years of banking experience with at least 5 years’ experience in a relationship management role
- Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of capital markets products
- Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. Word, Excel (extensive Cash flow modelling experience is vital)
- Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Structured Banking, Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets is desirable but not essential
- Role relevant qualifications, e.g. CFA is desirable but not essential
- Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
- The ability to understand and interpret complex financial data and statements
- Excellent credit assessment skills, particularly with regard to more complex and structured facilities with an international dimension
- Experience of successfully structuring and leading the execution of complex lending deals, accounting for the associated risks and regulations
- A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these
- In depth knowledge of complex credit structures, cash flow analysis, setting ratios and covenants
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills
- Excellent range of communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong change focus and ability to manage change
- Proven ability to deliver creative and flexible customer solutions
