Position Description

As a Project Engineer, your responsibilities include organise and supervise construction projects. Also provide technical advice to construction crews, collaboration with other engineers, architects, interior designers, subcontractors, labourers, craftspeople and other operatives. You will also positively interacts with customers to solve technical problems and identify areas to improve their work.

Responsibilities

Generating leads.
Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients.
Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
Planning and preparing technical drawings and construction layouts
Reviewing work schedules and delegating work tasks
Conducting preliminary inspections at potential construction sites
Gathering data and writing site reports and other necessary work documentation
Determining project feasibility and giving approval
Developing construction project budget estimates
Providing technical advice and diagnosing and resolving technical difficulties
Ensuring compliance with health, safety and legal regulations
Collaborating with clients, construction crews, subcontractors and other professionals
Conducting quality assurance and providing feedback
Provides onsite installation of instruments, upgrades, updates and planned maintenance service
Displays professionalism, understanding, discretion, fairness and technical knowledge in all customer interactions
Collaborates with internal team to resolve customer issues and improve processes.
Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience and knowledge
1 - 2 years experience are preferable
Uses effective questioning to identify customer needs
Exercises judgment setting work priorities and identifies next steps
Requires minimal oversight
Participates as a positive influence to the team
Quickly adapts to change with positive and constructive feedback
Possess own transport and willing to travel
Equipped with CIDB Green Card is preferable

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in construction, architecture and/or other related field
Aptitude for learning and understanding IT systems and processes
Experience in related field

Working Conditions

Frequent travel to customer site is required and ranges from 25-75% of work time. Works both in office or in a laboratory environment. May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Must be able to work safely with construction, chemical and hazardous environment. Must be able to work overtime and flexible shifts.

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
