Occupational & Safety Officer Certificate with 3-5 years of related experience.

Duties / Responsibilities :

The following job duties are general requirements and are not to be considered all-inclusive. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by superior from time to time, as needed.
Advise Management on the interest of the Safety & Health of a person at place of work.
Conducting workplace inspection to evaluate and to ensure all machines, plant, equipment, use of substances and appliances liable to cause bodily injury.
Investigate any accident or near misses, dangerous occurrences, poisoning or disease in place of work.
Assist employer and safety committee to comply to Occupational Safety & Health (Safety and Health Committee) Regulation 1996, organizing, conducting and implementing safety program and training at place of work.
Conduct safety briefing to contractors pertaining to hazard and risk of safety and health.
Secretary of Safety & Health Committee, leading and conducting safety meeting to follow up measures on implementing safety & health control activities and recommendation for further improvement and efficiency measures taken in compliance with legislation and regulation of the OSH Act 1994.
Collecting and analyze and maintaining statistic of accident, incident, poisoning and disease occurs at place of work.
Assist Officers in carrying his duties on workplace, machinery inspection and approvals, especially from DOSH, BOMBA, DOE and MBJB.
Conduct induction training to all new workers and existing workers pertaining to risk of hazards to health and safety at place of work.
Liaise with consultant/contractor to conduct environmental monitoring to evaluate the risk that may expose to cause health effect to worker at place of work such as noise, dust, heat, chemical and biological monitoring and reporting to DOSH and DOE.
Carry out HIRARC/JSA to evaluate high risk and hazard at place of work and make recommendation for action improvement.
Making arrangement for annual BOMBA inspection for Fire Certificate approval and renewal.
Ensuring all Fire Fighting equipment and facilities in good working condition.
Create ERP Manual for the company to ensure all level staff is aware and understood the needs and comply during emergency.
Conducting annual evacuation and fire drill training.
Facilitate the understanding and compliance of Company Policies and enforces implementation of EHS matters.
Support management plans, coordinate and execute improvement actions to manage and control hazards/aspects on site, including proposal on effective control measures of hazardous conditions/materials.
Implement improvement programs to prevent workplace incidents, then monitor and report on the performance.
Coordinate, monitors and report the performance of EHS which includes Hazards & Risk Management, incident Reporting & Investigation/ Audits & Inspections Schedule Waste, Workplace & Employees Monitoring, Legal Audit etc.
Liase with Government bodies such as DOE, DOSH, MBJB, BOMBA, JBA and contractors.
Manage security system (CCTV) & sewage system.
Monitoring on air emission (arrange for sampling as planned)Fulfills EHS regulatory requirement and report data to management.
To ensure all subordinates use environmental friendly material.
To segregate and dispose schedule waste according to legal and other requirements.
Ensure adhere Safety, Environmental, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Research & Development (SEQCDD) requirements.
Ensure adhere to DKM rules and regulations.
Beware of the general environmental, occupational health and safety information.
Perform tasks in SAP system.
