We are looking for an experienced and reliable Heavy Vehicle (Eg Crane/Forklift/Excavator) Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy vehicles such as trucks, buses, and construction equipment. The mechanic will ensure that all vehicles are in safe, working condition and meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on heavy vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical components.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks.
  • Ensure that all repairs are completed in a timely manner and according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and other systems in heavy vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services performed.
  • Provide advice and recommendations to clients regarding vehicle maintenance and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during repairs and maintenance.
  • Test drive vehicles to confirm proper functioning after repairs.
  • Keep work area clean and organized and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum qualification of SPM or equivalent; additional technical certifications in vehicle repair or mechanics are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a heavy vehicle mechanic.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle systems, engines, and mechanical components.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver’s license, preferably with the ability to drive heavy vehicles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
