Analyzing Technical Drawings: Understanding blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models to determine the machining processes needed. Selecting Tools and Materials: Choosing appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials based on the design specifications and the capabilities of the machines. Creating CNC Programs: Writing, testing, and refining CNC programs using CAM software to control machining processes such as turning, drilling, and grinding. Simulating Machining Processes: Running simulations to verify the tool paths, detect any potential issues, and ensure the programs will produce the desired outcomes efficiently and accurately. Optimizing Programs: Adjusting the programs to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize tool wear and material waste. Testing and Troubleshooting: Running test pieces to validate the programs, troubleshooting any issues that arise during machining, and making necessary adjustments. Maintaining Documentation: Keeping detailed records of programs, machine setups, tool selections, and any modifications made during the production process. Collaborating with Teams: Working closely with engineers, machinists, and quality control teams to ensure the final products meet the required standards and specifications.
