Job Description – Asst Kitchen Manager • Participate in menu planning and costing. • Maintain high culinary technical skills. • Assist in organizing special events and food promotions. • Possess comprehensive product knowledge including ingredients, equipment, suppliers, markets, and current trends; recommend adjustments to kitchen operations as needed. • Ensure kitchen hygiene and cleanliness; maintain personal hygiene standards. • Supervise and train assigned employees. • Collaborate with Executive Chef on manpower planning and management needs. • Assist in preparation and management of the department’s budget. • Location of outlet: IPC Shopping Centre - Anchored by IKEA Damansara • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with customers, employees, and third parties in a manner that enhances the reputation of the hotel, brand, and company. • Possession of alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as mandated by local government agencies. • Strong problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities. Qualifications: • Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills or a related field. Experience: • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a chef, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
