QA/QC ENGINEER

QA/ QC Engineer Accountability • Responsible for preparing Quality Plan that supports the project and clients’ requirements on quality assurance and quality control. • Ensure that non-conforming project activities including potential nonconformances are identified and resolved through approved quality procedures. • Provide independent quality control audit of vendors/ contractors and sub-contractor. • Ensure all Contractors’ QA/QC control measures and procedures are documented, implemented and auditable and fully comply with all Client and regulatory agency requirements • Verify all activities and products meet stringent industry standards and regulations to ensure safety and environmental responsibility • Assess potential risks associated with materials, equipment, and processes. identify hazards and propose measures to mitigate them, contributing to the overall safety of operations. • Responsible for quality control inspection which includes assessing the quality of welding, piping, structural components, and more • Preparation of NDT Plan, NDT Procedures and related Documents with reference to Codes, standards and project specification. • Responsible for all field inspections and coordination of inspection activities to ensure the quality level. • Ensure that the QC inspection work proceeds in accordance with project quality plan, control procedures and inspection procedures. • Maintaining the quality assurance records and execution of periodic inspection on job. • Controlling the activities of QC Inspectors/NDT coordinators and giving proper instructions to them. • Investigate and determine the root causes for quality issues identified and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. • Actively seek opportunities for process improvement includes analyse data, gather feedback, and propose enhancements to boost efficiency and reduce errors. • Promote quality awareness throughout the team and conduct training sessions if necessary to ensure that all personnel are aware of their responsibilities. Requirements • Degree in any Engineering disciplines or its equivalent with a minimum 3 years experience with similar experience as QA/QC Engineer in the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industry. • Experience in quality control and quality assurance functions in the oil and gas field • Experience in welding and common NDT methods • Sound knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia for both written and oral skills • Able to work independently and contribute for the team excellence as well. • Knowledgeable in welding, NDT, AWS/ASME/ANSI Codes or other industry codes and standard
