What applies to you As a Senior Software Engineer in our Professional Services and Customer Support function, you will play a crucial role in delivering advanced Card Management Solutions to our valued clients. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions tailored to meet client needs. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure seamless project delivery while providing technical expertise to support our clients effectively. Your contributions will drive exceptional customer satisfaction and innovation, reinforcing our commitment to delivering outstanding services and solutions. What you will do • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and COBOL systems. • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in both Java and COBOL. • Strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications in Java and COBOL. • Ensure software quality through automated testing and continuous integration. • Provide guidance and support to junior staff in their daily task. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, especially in Java and COBOL development. Troubleshooting application issues in production environment. • Be able to work 24 x 7 standby support (rotating basis) • Perform assignments as given by the Lead Software engineer/Business Leads What you will need • Must have minimum of 4-6 years of working experience in Cards & Payments industry. • Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or similar role, with strong expertise in both Java and COBOL development. • Strong technical proficiency in Java, COBOL, and C Languages. • Proven experience in a customer support role, with a strong focus on resolving issues related to Java and COBOL technologies. • Knowledge of credit/debit card business processing is a must. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Willing to work on shift schedule as and when needed.
