Position summary
We are currently looking for a highly competent Procurement Controller to join our team in Malaysia. This role will drive the financial performance of the Nestrade Branch, ensuring compliance with Nestlé Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements. The Procurement Controller will measure and benchmark price performance across spend categories for Zone AOA markets, collaborating with various stakeholders. Additionally, this position will lead the planning process, facilitate price forecasting discussions, and provide accurate reporting to support the Nestrade Management Committee in managing operational performance and executing strategic objectives.

A day in a life of a Procurement Controller
- Ensure compliance of Nestrade financials, including revenue, costs, and profit, with applicable standards and regulations
- Operate Power BI and advanced Excel, utilizing Value Realization and Price Forecasting tools while providing support and training on these tools
- Deliver monthly and yearly financial and non-financial reports, along with dashboards, to enhance transparency on key business KPIs across Zone AOA markets and the Nestrade Procurement Division
- Collaborate closely with category and commodities co-pilots to operate the Price Forecasting tool PBI across managed categories (Raw & Pack and S&IM)
- Work in partnership with category and commodities co-pilots to utilize the Value Realization tool for the same categories
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ZAOA market procurement controllers during the implementation of new initiatives, guidelines, and improvement projects
- Create timely and accurate ad hoc analyses on various financial KPIs, including actuals, DF, and P&L comparisons, for the Hub Copilot and Hub Head
- Provide consistent price forecasts by analysing trends across different spend categories
What makes you successful:
- University or Masters degree in business administration, Finance, or Accounting; Management Accounting Certification is a valuable asset
- Solid experience in Finance & Control, ideally with a background in audit coupled with factory, procurement, or supply chain controlling
- Experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry
- Possess strong market and/or center knowledge, with prior finance experience in a Nestlé market being a significant advantage
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Power BI, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint, along with database management skills.
- Excellent planning skills, a change management mindset, an open-minded attitude, and strong problem-solving abilities, along with effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of SAP, especially in the FI and CO modules.
- Proficiency in the English language, with additional language skills considered a plus
