Quantity Surveyor
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Planning and Management:
o Prepare initial cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies.
o Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure budget adherence.
2. Tendering :
o Prepare and manage tender documents, contracts, and bill of quantities (BOQs).
3. Contract Administration:
o Negotiate terms and conditions with contractors and subcontractors.
o Draft and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms.
4. Valuation and Payments:
o Conduct on-site inspections to assess progress and validate contractor claims.
o Prepare interim valuations and process contractor payments.
5. Cost Reporting:
o Maintain detailed records of all project expenditures.
o Produce regular cost reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
6. Risk Management:
o Identify potential project risks and propose cost-effective mitigation strategies.
7. Dispute Resolution:
o Manage claims and resolve disputes relating to project costs or contractual issues.
8. Compliance and Regulations:
o Ensure adherence to relevant standards, codes, and legal requirements.
9. Collaboration and Communication:
o Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure alignment on project objectives and financial goals.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Survey
- 5 years of similar working experience preferably in the pre-cast industry
- Experience in tender preparation
- Proficient in AutoCAD & MS Office
- Good communication, interpersonal and interpretation skills
- Possess analytical competencies
- Positive attitude and able to work independently
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
