We’re Looking for a Champion: Teaching Assistant (Adult Learner)

As our Teaching Assistant (Adult Learner), you’ll be the catalyst sparking confidence in our learners. This role isn’t just about teaching—it’s about creating a journey of growth and empowerment. Here’s a taste of what you’ll do:

Requirements:

- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or Degree in English/TESL or equivalent.
- At least 1-2 years of working experience in adult education or related fields is required. - -- Fresh graduates with relevant internships or volunteer experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Preferred languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia (required)
- Committed and has a strong sense of urgency toward deadlines.
- Self-motivated, good team player, able to work independently, multi-task, and take proactive action to resolve assigned tasks.
- Solid understanding of adult learning principles and teaching best practices.
- Must have a compassionate and positive attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and presentation abilities.
- The ability to start immediately will be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

- Helping create lesson plans tailored to adult learners.
- Reviewing materials taught in class for adult students.
- Working with groups of adult learners to enhance the learning process.
- Ensuring virtual classrooms are safe and organized.
- Providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students by proactively offering assistance.
- Assisting with various tasks, such as grading assignments and assessing adult students' performance.
- Helping adult learners adjust, learn, and socialize, and reporting to teachers about possible knowledge, skill or attitude issues.
- Supervising student attendance and ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Creating educational content in various media forms, including videos, audios, and PowerPoint slides.
- Assessing students’ abilities by conducting one-on-one sessions.
- Greeting clients and students at the beginning of an event and following up throughout.
- Performing ad-hoc assignments as assigned.

Working Hours : 9am to 6pm
