  • Maximisation of room’s sales and revenue for the Hotel. Check on all reservations for the day of arriving guests.
  • Preparing registration cards and ensuring that they are complete and information accurate ahead of guest arrival. Ensure the customers receive a fast, efficient check-in and check-out.
  • Ensure that all monies received for booking have been received and are allocated correctly on the booking system for all guests arriving.
  • Process a thorough knowledge of credit and check cashing policies and procedures and here to them.
  • Handle safe deposit boxes in accordance with the property’s procedures.
  • Register guest and assign rooms, accommodate special requests whenever possible. Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary.
  • Ensure all customers queries or request are handled in a polite, efficient manner.
  • Ensure a sales attitude is adopted at all times and maintain an awareness of all sales opportunities within the Hotel.
  • Ensure a high level of product knowledge of the Hotel and local area.
  • Stay up-to-date on room rates, packages, discounts and how to handle each, as well as how each relates to other departments.
  • Handle guest complaints and other related problems and report on the log book/handover book. Ensure proper telephone etiquette.
  • Understand and use proper mail. Package and messenger handling procedures.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area. Utilize free time cleaning and tidying work areas.
  • File room keys and carrying in key check. Updates room status and verify the status of out of order rooms.
  • · Ensure that all special requests listed on booking as well as requested while in house are carried out with the highest level of service and in line with company standards.
  • · Co-ordinate with all departments concerned in order to maintain Front Office functions properly and requests carried out correctly ensuring the guest stay is well organised and coordinated.
  • · Follow all rules and regulations contained in the employees.
  • · As a frontliners you must take care of your personal grooming, your uniform must be clean while on duty and always be punctual.
  • · To perform any additional duties and responsibilities as when required by the management.
