Job Scope/ Responsibilities

Setup the production equipment and know to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions before executing the job orders. Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing. Ensure that equipment are maintained in good and safe working condition
Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc
Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
Participate in setup and clean as directed by the Line Leader / Supervisor
Contribute to the production of quality product by following all defined quality procedure.
Be aware of set job rate and maintain them daily
Help with troubleshooting when needed.
Read, understand the Drawing/WI in production.
Run a production machine and understand it’s operation always adhering to safety.
Assist Line Leader / Production Supervisor in achieving scheduling requirements
Work closely with the Line Leader / Supervisor to assure conformity of product to customer requirement.
Use and read measurement equipment / tools
Assist in the maintenance of tooling and equipment.
To ensure 5S was well implemented at production
Perform ad-hoc tasks when requested
