The Company
Our client is a Malaysian company specializing in comprehensive solar photovoltaic (PV) services, including consultancy, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of solar PV systems.
The Senior Business Development Engineer / Executive will be responsible to:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the solar PV market in Northern Peninsular Malaysia (Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak).
- Study and analyze potential clients’ needs to prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Negotiate proposals/contracts and close sales deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders and industry partners.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to gather necessary site information for initial engineering preparation to facilitate sales activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution from proposal/contract signing to system commissioning.
- Stay up to date with relevant authority policies, application flows, industry standards, regulations, best practices to provide best advice to clients.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, market developments and competitor activities.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, market conditions, and customer feedback.
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies and marketing plans.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree / diploma in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience working in the solar PV industry with basic knowledge of solar PV system and authorities’ policies is an advantage.
- Experience working in sales position with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Possess own car.
