PASTRY CHEF
Education: Diploma or certification from a relevant culinary school, or equivalent experience and skills.
Work experience: For Pastry Commis, extensive work experience is not required, but a passion for cooking and pastry-making, with a willingness to develop into a professional chef, is necessary. For Demi Chef, a certain level of experience as a pastry chef is required, with familiarity in various types of pastry making and ingredient handling.
Skill requirements:
Familiarity with basic pastry-making techniques and skills, such as cakes, cookies, puddings, chocolate etc.
Good knowledge of ingredients and ability to accurately measure ingredients based on recipes and menu requirements.
Ability to follow food safety and hygiene standards to ensure food quality and safety.
Strong team spirit and ability to work closely with other chefs and staff in a kitchen environment.
Creativity and innovation: Ability to provide unique pastry ideas and improve existing pastries, adding new highlights to the menu.
Flexibility and adaptability: Ability to work in a high-intensity and fast-paced kitchen environment, and adapt to changing job demands and pressures.
Language proficiency: Fluent communication with team members, understanding and complying with work instructions.
Work attitude: Proactive work attitude, good time management, and organizational skills to complete tasks on time.
