DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The LV Chargeman is responsible for driving maintenance programs (including routine inspection, corrective and preventive activities) with a focus on system reliability, with the application of Best Practices and wide range of engineering principles and practices to:
Implement mandatory routine inspections in conformance to Standard Operating Procedures and reliability governance.
Support emergency (unscheduled) repairs or troubleshooting of facilities equipment, and close monitoring on facilities system performance, critical parameters and loading.
Facilitate and administer Testing and Commissioning, and other experimental simulations.
Interface directly with clients to identify and analyze critical needs, define problems, and develop specifications to guide the solution process.
Facilitate reliability improvement projects focused on new technology development, evaluation, and application to both existing and emerging risks.
Risk Management
Implement risk assessment which identifies operational risks including occupational health and safety, fire safety and essential services and environmental.
Profitability and Savings Initiatives
Drive initiatives and strategies that lead to cost savings and service improvement.
Energy Conservation and Innovation
Support initiatives and strategies for energy conservation with feasibility assessment, cost, optimization, and engineering analyses.
Customer Service and Client Relationships
Ensure feedback from client are recorded and action taken to the satisfaction of the end user. Lead by example in achieving maximum client satisfaction level.
Reporting
Ensure data integrity and accuracy of all information reported associated with Daily Shift Ops Report, Weekly MRM Report, Monthly Report, Risk Assessment, BAR, Maximo PM Closure and other imperative updates.
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES
Individual Performance Agreement (IPMP) for Key Performance Measures.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION,
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Candidate must possess a minimum Certificate in Engineering discipline, with LV Chargeman from Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission).
At least 2 - 3 years of hands-on working experience as LV Chargeman in facilities electrical equipment i.e. Distribution Boards, BusBar, Single Line Diagrams, generators and others devices with troubleshooting and repairs.
SKILLS and CORE COMPETENCIES
Able to work independently, possess integrity and a right sense of urgency to meet deadlines, including work irregular hours and occasional travel if any urgent support.
Interpersonal skills with a strong client focus.
Good written and oral communication skills.
OTHER PREREQUISITES
Able to work on 12 hours shifts
