Senior CNC Machinist

The successful candidate will operate and set up CNC and manual machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders. They will handle complex machine setups, support training for incoming machinists, and assist engineering with validation and plant setup activities.

What will you be doing?

  • The successful candidate will perform frequent and complex CNC, mill, and lathe setups/operations to produce high-quality parts based on specifications. They will also operate specialty machines and ensure precision in production processes. Routine responsibilities include setup, adjustments, and operations to maintain production flow and product quality.

  • In addition to machining tasks, the candidate will train Level I, II, and III machinists through on-the-job training, create training materials, and serve as a mentor and guide for new hires. They will actively participate in process improvement initiatives, support setup reduction efforts, and recommend program changes for better efficiency and productivity.

  • The role also involves preventive maintenance, tooling issue resolution, and quality inspection using measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and SPC equipment. The candidate will support other machining-related activities, such as packaging, finishing, and material deployment, while ensuring compliance with HSE policies and reporting safety-related incidents or concerns.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Candidates must have a high school education or equivalent, with a Certificate in Precision Machining Technology preferred. The role requires 10 years of machining experience, successful completion of a Machine Operator test, and strong competence in reading blueprints, using precision measuring instruments, and identifying tooling.
