Job type: 12- Months Contract & Renewable/ Convert to Permanent with SQ based on performance
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure OpenShift clusters in both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot the OpenShift infrastructure, including nodes, pods, routes, persistent storage, and networking.
- Monitor and manage OpenShift clusters to ensure uptime, performance, and scalability.
- Perform regular cluster upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting of issues.
- Configure and optimize Kubernetes clusters on OpenShift.
- Implement security best practices for OpenShift, including identity and access management, role-based access control (RBAC), and network policies.
- Write custom scripts to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot OpenShift clusters.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, including resource allocation, container failures, and network-related issues.
- Work closely with development teams to enable smooth deployment of applications on OpenShift.
- Assist developers with OpenShift-specific configurations, including pod resource limits, storage configurations, and environment variables.
- Plan and implement backup strategies and disaster recovery procedures for OpenShift clusters and workloads.
- Maintain detailed documentation for OpenShift configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide regular reports on the health and performance of the OpenShift platform.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven 3 years of experience as an OpenShift Administrator or related field.
- Experience with managing OpenShift clusters in a production environment.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container orchestration concepts.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems, particularly Red Hat-based distributions.
- Knowledge of networking and security practices in containerized environments.
- Understanding of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Mandatory to have: Certified OpenShift Red Hat Administrator
