Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Department Manager to lead and oversee a diverse team across multiple technical and solutions functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing technical department resources, ensuring the quality and delivery of engineering products, fostering the development of technical knowledge, and enhancing the team’s soft skills. Key Responsibilities:

Resource Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage engineers across various functions, ensuring efficient resource allocation and collaboration.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes across all engineering teams.
  • Build and nurture a cohesive and high-performing engineering organization

Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between engineering functions to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
  • Resolve interdepartmental conflicts and promote collaboration to meet shared goals.
  • Align engineering efforts with overall business objectives and operational priorities.

Engineering Product Management:

  • Ensure the timely delivery and high-quality output of engineering projects and products.
  • Establish processes for interdepartmental coordination in product development and quality assurance.
  • Drive innovation by leveraging the strengths of multiple engineering disciplines.

Technical Knowledge Development:

  • Encourage continuous learning and upskilling across all engineering teams.
  • Promote knowledge-sharing and technical collaboration between engineering functions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and facilitate the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.

Soft Skills Development:

  • Develop and enhance communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills across the teams.
  • Foster a culture of feedback, collaboration, and adaptability.
  • Support the team in improving stakeholder management and customer interaction skills.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize team performance and achieve company objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to project execution, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Provide technical and strategic insights to senior management and stakeholders.

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Possessing a master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Candidates with technical knowledge in network engineering will be preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in managing diverse engineering teams or similar leadership roles.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in engineering and product development.
  • Exceptional leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in managing diverse teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM7,000.00 per month
