The Opportunity
We are seeking an individual to join our fast paced as Technician Maintenance & Calibration (Molding/Tool). In this role, you will be responsible to operate, calibrate, and maintain machinery, as well as inspect finished products to ensure quality work.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Plan and organize carefully the working process to produce goods and workmanship of high quality.
- Prepare work area and arrange right tooling for the right job.
- Proper set-up of equipment and machinery to ensure that the job done meet products specification and quality standards.
- Perform operation as per stated in the relevant supporting document and perform their own inspection to ensure that products are in accordance to quality requirement and workmanship criteria.
- Ensure all machinery and equipment is at highest availability and efficient operating conditions.
- Attend to all break downs of all equipment and carry out professional repair.
- Liaise with production supervisor when tools, equipment and machinery need repair or maintenance and ensure downtime in production is minimum.
- Propose and verify improvement plans for all production tools, fixtures, equipment and machine.
- Check work done in own section periodically to ensure good quality.
- Remove mold after production run and send mould for servicing.
- Arrange and maintain mold technician tool and equipment and report any damages to superior.
- Responsible for proper reporting all molding related activities.
- Observe and train all operators in proper handling of machines and equipment, and also explain their functions, uses and safety measures to observe.
- Maintain high standard of production housekeeping.
- Ensure safe working methods are adopted at all times and caution all employees against unsafe act.
Position Specific Skills and Challenges
- Knowledge of equipment and machinery setup to ensure that the job done meet products specification and quality standards.
- Able to operate, calibrate, and maintain machinery, as well as inspect finished products to ensure quality work.
- Able to train operators or other people regarding to mold process and machine.
- Good knowledge about machine parts and tool using in molding process.
- Able to translate technical information in an understandable way and coordinate with other technicians, share concerns, and find solution options for issues.
- Willing to learn from various person who related to the process.
- Able to work together in a team.
- Maintain machine parameter for production.
- Check work done in own section periodically to ensure good quality.
Why is this role right for you?
- 3-5 years of experience, preferred in molding process (melting the material, injecting the material, cooling, and ejecting).
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical, Technical or Manufacturing qualification.
- Understand Molding process from raw material to finished goods with a thorough understanding of the effects of heat.
- Experience in setup of molding process flow. Advantage if have done setup project of molding area.
- Experience machine/tool test to ensure they function properly.
