We are looking for an Audit cum Accounts Executive to join our team at J.M. WONG & CO in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in supporting our Accounting and Audit functions.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting with the planning and execution of external audits for our clients
  • Preparing financial statements, reports and other accounting documents
  • Performing account reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Providing support in the implementation of accounting systems and procedures
  • Collaborating with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Participating in secretarial assignments

What we're looking for

  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar audit or accounting role, preferably in a professional services firm. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using accounting & audit software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of applicable accounting standards and regulations
  • Ability to converse in Mandarin is an advantage
