Chief Mechanic / Rig Mechanic

THIS IS ON CALL BASIS JOB

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment aboard rigs and marine vessels.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Conduct inspections and tests on mechanical systems to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve mechanical challenges effectively.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment logs.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations while performing all tasks.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Rig Mechanic or practical experience on mechanical equipment in the marine environment.
• Extensive experience in NOV equipment or equivalent, minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar capacity.
• Degree/ Diploma/ Cert/ Tertiary Education in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• For Malaysian-non-Sarawakian, holding valid work permit is preferrable.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 14 days

Pay: Up to RM9,999.00 per day

Experience:

• NOV Equipment or equivalent: 2 years (Preferred)
• Rig Electrician / electrical systems for marine: 2 years (Preferred)
