Project Cost Controller
Cost Controller is a key part of the Project Finance team for the Subsea Project & Services business. The role provides financial reporting and analysis to the project execution team and other stakeholders including the Project Finance Manager. In the role you will be part of a global team of cost controllers and be responsible for budget management across a number of projects.
The role will take on the budget responsibility and financial control of subsea projects, where, together with the project manager, you will be responsible for reporting the total estimated cost of the project to the product line leadership team. You will also be responsible for forecasting project spend profiles, reporting any variances in expected total project cost and driving business decisions to optimize the financial performance of the assigned projects.
Responsibilities:
- Project cost control for a portfolio of projects. Managing the impact of change orders and identifying and reporting changes in expected costs for a defined project scope.
- Quarterly forecasting of spend profile across projects, reflecting project execution in line with the project and manufacturing plans.
- Quarterly Project Cost Review (PCR) to validate total project cost to wider SPS management team.
- Overall management of cost budgets within Oracle ERP.
- Reporting of any quarterly volume variance through to SP&S QMI rhythms
- Support the SPS cash collection effort by maintaining project focus on timely achievement of project cash milestones.
- Conducting other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Strong Academic background and or university graduate with minimum 2:1 in a finance/economics related degree (or equivalent degree with demonstrable finance work experience)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn quickly.
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and attention to detail
- A specific job-related knowledge, skills and abilities that are directly tied to performing tasks and functions in the role, such as statutory reporting, financial reporting, financial analysis, analytical review, audit, and management reporting.

- Salary Range: Up to RM8,000.00
- Contract Duration: 12 Months (with potential of extension/conversion)

- Working Hour: Monday to Friday, 9AM to 6PM
